(Senior) Linux Operations Specialist (m/f/x)

We are actively recruiting a seasoned (Senior) Linux Operations Specialist (m/f/x) to join our esteemed client's IT team. As a (Senior) Linux Operations Specialist (m/f/x), you will be instrumental in providing expert guidance and hands-on support for their Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of Linux systems, a track record of successful implementations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities:

1. System Assessment and Recommendations:

   • Evaluate existing Linux-based systems and propose recommendations for enhancements.
   • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and align solutions accordingly.
   • Provide strategic input on hardware and software selections for optimal system performance.

2. Implementation and Configuration:

   • Lead the implementation and configuration of Linux-based solutions.
   • Ensure seamless integration with existing technologies and applications.
   • Work closely with client teams to address specific use cases and operational requirements.

3. Performance Optimization and Security:

   • Conduct performance assessments and optimize configurations for efficiency.
   • Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard systems and data.
   • Advise on security measures and policies to ensure a resilient infrastructure.

4. Automation and Tooling:

   • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline operational tasks.
   • Collaborate with client teams to integrate configuration management tools and automation frameworks.
   • Provide training and knowledge transfer on automation practices.

5. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

   • Collaborate effectively with client IT teams and cross-functional departments.
   • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to client engineers.
   • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to enhance client team capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Linux Systems Engineer, preferably in client-facing roles.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, proxmox) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, LFCE) are a plus.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken
